Mining is one of the three available Professions on the Savage Coast. It allows players to gather ores, which are essential for Charm Crafting. For more information, see the section.
Visit the Professional Hatter NPC (Main Hall).
Requirements:
Speak to Henry (Mining Instructor) to unlock Level 1 Mining.
Mine 40 times, then report to Henry.
Mine 150–160 times for the next task.
Mine 15 consecutive ores of the same type (Dragonstone, Aquastone, or Flamestone). Note: Mining a different ore resets the streak.
Mine 135–140 times for the next task.
Mine 40–50 times, then speak to Henry.
Defeat 2 Stonerings (low chance spawn after mining an ore, interact 4x to defeat them).
Mine 110–120 times for the next task.
Mine 170–180 times to complete the final task.

Get the Mining Skill: Talk to Henry.
Mine an Ore:
Stand near an ore deposit.
Use the Interact skill.
When the mining bar fills and turns green (closer to the right), press Interact again.
Ore Deposits:
Achieve a Great Success by stopping the mining bar exactly at the end (green zone).
Visual cue: "Starry Eyes" appear on your miner.

Ingots are essential for Charm Crafting.
Speak to the Smelter NPC.
Submit 9,000 points worth of ores of a single type (mixing Tiers 1–3 is allowed).
The Smelter will create an Ingot of that ore type.
Before you begin mining, you must obtain a Mine Hat. This item is required to access mining areas and interact with ore deposits.
How to Get a Mine Hat:
First-time Players: Speak to the Caretaker NPC to receive a free 3-day Mine Hat.
Crafting a Permanent Mine Hat:
1 Hat [1]
100 Scell
200 Solid Shell
Pickaxe: Buy from the Caretaker NPC. Each mining attempt requires 1 Pickaxe.
Receive a Pickaxe and get started!
Return to Henry and receive 100 Mithril, Aetherite, or Obsidian as a reward.
Craft 1 Ingot of any type (see section).
Achieve 15 Great Successes (see section).
Return to Henry and receive 150 Azurite, Firestone, or Quartz as a reward.
If a deposit only gives Stone or no resources, it’s on cooldown—move to another spot.
